Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a consideration that underpins the master plan for Gregory Hills. Initiatives set in place now will ensure that this beautiful environment will flourish for generations to come:

- Comprehensive pedestrian and cycling networks planned throughout Gregory Hills
- Landscaping throughout the mix of native and evergreen
- Energy and water efficient housing offered by builders will help residents save on water and energy bills
- Storm water harvesting will deliver a sustainable water supply to roadside landscaping
- Stream and riparian area restoration will give residents more open areas and natural wetlands and provide habitat for native animals
- Aboriginal Heritage Conservation Area planned for the ongoing management of cultural heritage sites located within Gregory Hills
- Public transport will connect Gregory Hills to regional business areas including Campbelltown
Railway Station

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Sydney Water has announced that it will not be providing recycled water to future stages at Gregory Hills. The first two stages at Gregory Hills (Donovan Release and Luke Release) will still be provided with recycled water, but no further homes at Gregory Hills after these two releases will have recycled water.
