The convenience of Gregory Hills: Part 1

The convenience of Gregory Hills: Part 1

While South West Sydney offers new home buyers a variety of options when it comes to choosing which new residential estate to call home, not all new communities are created equal. The old “location, location, location” adage is as true in property today as it ever was. And when looking for your new home, it pays to pull back and look at the location in the broader scheme of things.

With Gregory Hills Town Centre as the starting point, we’ve compiled a list of key attractions and services and how long it will take you to get to them by car in typical traffic conditions. This list illustrates the convenience and centrality of Gregory Hills.

Narellan Town Centre: A quick 10-minute, 5.5km drive down Gregory Hills Drive and Camden Valley Way. The recently renovated Narellan Town Centre features more than 180 speciality stores, including Big W, Kmart, Target, H&M, Woolworths, and Coles.

Macarthur Square: A 15-minute, 8.5km cruise down Gregory Hills Drive/Bagdally Road. Stores include a flagship David Jones, H&M, Big W, Target, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Dan Murphy’s, as well as an Event Cinemas and Kingpin bowling.

Campbelltown Hospital: 16 minutes and 9.4km will get you to the state-of-the-art Campbelltown Hospital, which is currently in the second stage of a $632 million redevelopment. It isn’t every new residential development that puts you this close to a major modern medical centre.

Service NSW: In a lightning quick four minutes and 2.1km you can be queuing up for service at Gregory Hills’ Service NSW branch for any NSW Government service you need, from driver’s licence and vehicle registration renewal to registering a birth, registering a business, and more.

The Australian Botanic Garden: 10 minutes and 5.6km via Glenfield Drive and you will be ensconced in the stunning and sprawling Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan. Take your time – there’s no less than 400 hectares of natural woodland, stunning gardens and open spaces to explore.

Campbelltown Mall: A 15-minute, 8.6km drive down Gregory Hills Drive/Bagdally Road. Located in the heart of Campbelltown’s commercial centre, this shopping centre offers locals a Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Kmart and Target, as well as 98 specialty stores.

Liverpool CBD: 28 minutes and 22.6km via the Hume Highway will land you in the Liverpool CBD, one of the major commercial centres in South West Sydney.

Sydney Zoo: 41 minutes and 39km will place you at the brand new Sydney Zoo at Bungarribee (near the M7/M4 connection). Opened in December 2019, Sydney Zoo is the first new major zoo to be built in Sydney in more than 100 years. And the best part? It’s only half the travel time compared to Taronga Zoo.

The beach: Sure, Greater Western Sydney is a long way from any form of coastline. But did you know that when you live in Gregory Hills, you’re only 49 minutes and 47.5km from one of bestest of best kept secret beaches in the Sydney region? Don’t head for Bondi, Coogee, or Cronulla; avoid the traffic, crowds and pricey parking and instead head south towards Wollongong via Appin Road. You’ll soon have an assortment of fantastic, quiet beaches to pick from. Our favourite is Bulli Beach.
